At Terrace View Care Center, we have an in-house therapy program, which currently includes ten licensed rehabilitation therapists. We emphasize a coordinated interdisciplinary team approach. Our highly skilled professionals work with each individual and their loved ones to achieve maximum independence and quality of life following a debilitating illness or accident.

Our rehabilitation services include:
Physical Therapy:
The physical therapy program provides evaluation, treatment and ongoing reassessment to improve mobility, decrease pan, and increase strength. Treatments include:
- Strengthening and Therapeutic Exercises
- Neuromuscular Re-Education
- Functional Mobility Training
- Gait Training
- Wound Care Prosthetics and Orthotics
- Balance Retraining and Fall Prevention
- Hot Pack and Ultra Sound
Physical Therapists hold Bachelors or Masters degrees from accredited Schools of Physical Therapy and are licensed by the State of California. Physical Therapy Assistants hold associates degrees from accredited schools and are also licensed by the State of California.

Occupational Therapy:
The goal of the Occupational Therapist is to assist residents in achieving greater independence in activities of daily living (ADLs). Individualized therapeutic activities are designed to help residents develop, improve or restore performance of everyday activities. Treatments Include:
- ADL’s: self-feeding, bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
- Strengthening, coordination, therapeutic exercises upper extremities)
- Splints and adaptive equipment
- Energy conservation and work simplification
- Family and caregiver training
- Home and community reintegration
- Continence management programs
Speech Therapy:
Speech and Language Pathologists provide assessment, on-going treatment and monitor progress of residents with communication disorders like aphasia and swallowing disorders (dysphagia). Treatments Include:
- Swallowing techniques
- Communication skills and aids
- Memory and problem solving
Each Speech-Language Pathologist holds a master’s or doctorate degree from an accredited school and is certified by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association.
